Christian Ernst Schreck, a very skilled knit-master, started 1774 to produce trikot-costumes for the theatre. 1870 his great-grandson Carl Ernst Schreck founded the first factory for stage wear. (see advertisement of his son Gustav Adolf Schreck, 1923). The familiy follows this tradition up to the present day.
